In 2005, Tanya Vlach loses an eye in a horrific car accident. As an artist and photographer, she approaches the loss as an opportunity to explore the possibility of turning her prosthetic eye into an intraocular camera. Her exciting journey into the field of wearable tech changes her life, forever altering her perspective.

BRITTNEY SHEPHERD - DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
Brittney Shepherd is a Texas based filmmaker with a ten-year track record of creating dynamic films and content for outlets such as MTV, ESPN, the Smithsonian Channel, CNBC, and PBS’ award-winning series, Independent Lens.
Recently, alongside Ecky Malick, wife of Academy-Award nominated director Terrence Malick, Brittney produced the upcoming kid’s adventure movie INTO THE WHO KNOWS! (2017; Dir: Micah Barber). She co-produced the PBS documentary, A FRAGILE TRUST (2015; Dir: Samantha Grant), about the Jayson Blair plagiarism scandal at The New York Times and is the co-creator of PBS news game, DECISIONS ON DEADLINE (2015), which teaches journalism ethics through an interactive and entertaining experience. Brittney is also the Co-Producer of OUT RUN (2016; Dir: Johnny Symons & S. Leo Chiang), the feature documentary that follows the only LGBT political party in the world on its historic quest to win Congressional seats in the Philippines. Brittney was the Associate Producer of the Emmy® Award-nominated A VILLAGE CALLED VERSAILLES (2011) and MR. CAO GOES TO WASHINGTON (2012; Dir: S. Leo Chiang).
She is a CPB/PBS Producers Academy alum, a former Bay Area Video Coalition MediaMaker Fellow, and Emerging Artist Professionals Fellow. She holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley in Ethnic Studies & is completing an MFA in film from UT Austin.
